What is Alternative Fitness?
Alternative Fitness® Training is an integrated approach to mind/body exercise. Our workshops include learning theory and practice from Yoga, Pilates, and other mind/body therapies. Our workshops provide the exercise physiology theory and practice as well as teaching how to blend these principles in mind/body exercise and practice.
What is Body IQ?
Body IQ is an innovative approach to mind/body exercise training that builds smarter, stronger bodies. Body IQ teaches the mind to visualize and relate to what the body can do connecting movement and thought. Learn to develop strength, flexibility, tone, and enhancing the body/brain connection. Body IQ is the key to applying the mind/body awareness to exercise.
What are the goals of the Workshops?
One goal of the workshops is to prepare the exercise professional to learn exercise theory and practice. Alternative Fitness® Body IQ workshops are structured to help bridge between traditional exercise and mind/body exercise practice and theory. Each workshop provides several basic levels of work from which the exercise professional can learn and begin to build their own practice and base of knowledge in the realm of mind/body exercise
What is the Certification/Aprrenticeship Process?
Alternative Fitness® Body IQ Apprenticeship and Certification Program has been created to provide hands on, experiential training for the individual who is enrolled in the Alternative Fitness® Body IQ Workshops. The process for application involves:
