Paulette Bensignor is an artist, who works with the image of the landscape. She is interested in the environment and uses symbolism in her work. Her work can be called a type of "Hyper- Realism". Though detailed and realistic in nature, her work encompasses much more. Since 1966, she has continuously exhibited and won various awards for her work as a painter and printmaker. She has shown primarily in the New York City and the Philadelphia areas as well as Europe and Asia. Her work can be found in various public and private collections worldwide. She lives and works in Pennsylvania, with her husband and daughter.

The three-dimensional paintings are an extension of the two-dimensional surface. They represent a number of different things, like camouflaged wild things.

"The images can be seen as a way I see society. One has to assume roles in society that hide our real selves. Like the wolf, one cannot be completely domesticated, but one must blend into the landscape."
