- The homebuilding industry has been facing its fair share of negativity lately. Yet, in the midst
of that, Michael Anthony Homes has found a bright side.
Their Ardmore Crossing townhome community in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County
recently sold out – a cause for celebration for any homebuilder. Michael Anthony Homes added
to their high spirits by donating the Ardmore Crossing model home furniture to the Valley Forge
Military Academy College.
The impetus for this act of generosity came from Michael Nolen, founder of Michael Anthony
Homes. Mr. Nolen is a 1966 graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, and has been active
on various committees and the Board of Trustees since 1989, serving as the Vice Chairman and
Chairman.
Ordinarily, model home furniture is re-used from one project to the next. But, in this instance,
Mr. Nolen felt that the furnishings might serve a better purpose at VFMA. The school needed
furniture for guest housing and other accommodations, and Mr. Nolen was in a position to assist
with that endeavor.
“VFMA is an important part of my life. I was honored to have this opportunity to give
something tangible back,” said Mr. Nolen. “I knew that the furniture was needed, and
that I could do something to help.”

Township and Valley Farm Estates in Valley Township, are currently under construction in
